We paid bail for a woman on Monday, whose release was then stalled by jail staff failing to file basic evaluation paperwork. MFF stayed in contact with her mother, who described the jail hanging up on her as she sought to secure her daughter’s release. Three days after bail was paid, her daughter was released late at night, with no notice.
