Anoka County
To find a case file number for someone in custody in Anoka County, go to https://www.anokacountymn.gov/727/Inmate-Locator.
In the search box, type the name of the person in custody. Choose the correct name from the search results list.

When you click a name, information associated with that person will appear on your screen. Look under the heading “Bail Amounts.” You will see a case file number (e.g. CR-23-3118) and the bail amount owed.

When adding the Anoka County case file number to the Bail Referral and Assignment of Bail Form, add “02” before the number (e.g. CR-23-3118 becomes 02-CR-23-3118).
Carver County
To find the case file number for a person in custody in Carver County, call 952-361-1420. Dial extension 1 for English or 2 for Spanish.
Then, dial extension 2 for adult criminal and traffic matters.
Finally, dial extension 2 for all other criminal and traffic matters.
Note: Carver County case file numbers start with “10-CR”
Hennepin County
To find a case file number for someone in custody in Hennepin County, go to https://jailroster.hennepin.us/jail-roster.
Search their name.

Click on booking number of the person you are searching.

The next page will list case details for each offense, including the case numbers and bail amounts. The court file number will be labeled “MNCIS Case #” and will start with “27CR.”

Scroll down and look to check if the person has more than one case, each listed with a different case number. You will also be able to see all out of county holds or warrants the person might have.

Please note: The court file number won’t be listed for the out of county charges, but the county and bail amount will be listed.
If the individual in custody does not qualify for bail assistance, the “Hold Without Bail” section will be checked, as shown below.

Ramsey County
To find a case file number for someone in custody in Ramsey County, go to https://opendata.ramseycounty.us/stories/s/Ramsey-County-Adult-Detention-Center-Roster/xs99-2bse/
Search their name.

Scroll down to “Judicial Information.” It is listed under “Court Case Number” and will start with “62-CR” or “62SU-CR.” If they have more than one charge, they will be listed multiple times. Make sure to list all unique case numbers.

Double check the next page for any additional charges.
Please note: This will not show any additional holds or warrants they might have from other counties.
St. Louis County
To find a case file number for a person in custody in St. Louis County, call 218-726-2345. Provide the name of the person in custody, and ask for the court file number.
Case file numbers in St. Louis County start with “69DU-CR,” “69VI-CR,” or “69HI-VI.”
Washington County
To find a case file number for a person in custody in Washington County, call 651-430-7900 and stay on the line (it may take a while).
When someone answers, provide the name of the individual in custody and ask for the court file number. Case file numbers in Washington County start with “82-CR.”
You may also wish to ask whether the person in custody has any warrants or holds in other counties, what those counties are, and if bail has been assigned in those cases.
